With the Readers, you can collect data automatically, or through access points like turnstiles, vehicle gates, or doors. You can also create zones through the site for safety, security, or productivity purposes. Readers use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to efficiently collect data and connect to your systems.
The data collected depends on what you need to know per person for your projects. However, the basics include: when each person comes on site in real-time, who do they work for, what is their badge or wearables number, and when was their safety briefing. Additional information can include: training and certifications (such as OSHA 10 and 30), contact information, emergency information, project compliance needs such as gender and ethnicity. Eyrus offers over 50 different attribute fields for you to choose from.

Eyrus offers text-based check in options where workers scan a QR code with their phone but don’t have to download the app.
Project teams can use either NFC posters where workers scan the poster with their phone, or they can use native location services on a phone to automatically check people in once inside a defined project geofence.
It depends on the phone manufacturer and cellular carrier of the phone. For most phones, good to assume +/- 30 ft accuracy in the read range.
If you are using location services or a geofence, no readers are required. If you are using an NFC or text based check in option, the number of check in stations will depend on your site layout and what you are wanting to measure.
The Eyrus app is compatible across IOS models running iOS 14 or later and Android devices running Android 9 or later.
Yes, Eyrus is designed to offer flexible badging across the workforce. For example, project management personnel can use mobile phones while the direct labor force might use NFC or BLE.
Readers are plug and play if you have an existing outlet to plug in for power. Otherwise, simple 120V hardwiring would be required to power up a reader. WiFi or cellular connections can be established via a reader configuration.
Eyrus offers solar “kits” that can power any BLE reader on site. This includes a full kit of a solar panel, battery and all of the connections.
Yes, both badges and beacons are reusable and can easily be deactivated from one user profile and then activated against another user profile in Eyrus.
Read range is up to 300 ft in diameter based on a line of site to the reader. The range can be reduced based on your project needs.
It depends on your site layout and what you are trying to measure. Most sites setup readers at entry points and main points of interest on a site
Yes, Eyrus offers a “combo” badge that is both BLE and NFC. The best use case for this type of Badge is where you use NFC for an incoming turnstile and BLEs for project zones inside the site. Some users can have simple NFC badges while others might use combo badges.
BLE Badges and beacons have a 4-year battery life.
NFC badges don’t have batteries, so their useful life is not limited.

Read range is close proximity (within a couple of inches). If you are looking for longer read ranges, you can switch to either a mobile or BLE solution.
